Based in Arizona’s White Mountains and originally from Glendale, Tyler grew up surrounded by the kind of country and western music that sticks with you for life. Artists like Chris LeDoux, George Strait, Dwight Yoakam, and Randy Travis helped shape his foundation, giving him an appreciation for traditional country storytelling, strong melodies, and songs that feel genuine from the first note.
But Tyler’s musical influences did not stop there. Rock bands like Audioslave, Matchbox Twenty, and Pearl Jam also helped shape his love for powerful songwriting and raw expression. That mix comes through in the way Tyler approaches his music today: country at its core, but built around emotion, authenticity, and the kind of vocals that make people stop and listen.
Tyler first picked up a guitar as a teenager, but life had other plans for a while. At just 18 years old, he enlisted in the United States Army, putting his music journey on pause while serving his country.
After returning home from military service, Tyler found his way back to music — and in many ways, music found its way back to him. It became an important outlet during his transition into civilian life, giving him a place to reconnect with himself while also creating meaningful connections with the people around him.
At AZDCMA, we have tremendous respect and appreciation for the men and women who have served our country. Tyler’s story is a meaningful reminder that behind every artist is a journey, and we are especially grateful for the sacrifice, dedication, and service of our veterans. We are proud to support veteran artists like Tyler who continue to bring their talents, stories, and heart to communities across Arizona.
Over the past year, Tyler has been steadily making his mark across Arizona. Whether he is performing at a local venue, meeting new fans, or developing his original material, he brings a simple but powerful formula to every opportunity: an acoustic guitar, strong vocals, and songs delivered with heart.
When he is not working his full-time job as a maintenance technician, Tyler is on the road, continuing to build his craft one performance at a time. He is writing, recording, releasing original music, and putting in the kind of work that local artists know all too well — showing up, staying consistent, and letting the music speak for itself.
At AZDCMA, we love welcoming artists who bring something real to Arizona’s country music community, and Tyler is exactly that. His sound may be acoustic and stripped-down, but the passion behind it is anything but small.
Please help us welcome Tyler Brakeall to the AZDCMA family. Keep an eye out for upcoming performances, original releases, and more from this rising Arizona country artist as he continues to share his voice across the state.
